34. Grant of new certificate of registry.
(1)An application for a new certificate of registry under sub-section (1) or (2) of section 36 of the Act shall be made to the registrar at the ship's port of registry.(2)Every duplicate certificate granted under section 36 shall be clearly marked Duplicate"in red ink.(3)Where a duplicate certificate has been granted on the ground that the original has been mislaid or lost and such original is subsequently found or received by the owner, he shall forthwith surrender the original certificate to the registrar who shall cancel the same.
