Section 2(2) in The Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets (Election to Market Committees), Rules 1961
(2)'Deputy Commissioner' means the Deputy Commissioner of the district having jurisdiction over the notified market area or if such area is situated in more than one district, the Deputy Commissioner of one of those districts designated by the State Government in this behalf;
