Section 87(2) in The Air Force Rules, 1969

(2)Except as above-mentioned, all the proceedings, including the view of any place, shall be in open Court and in the presence of the accused.[87-A. Courts-Martial to be public.-Subject to rule 87, the place in which a Court-Martial is held for the purpose of trying an offence under the Act shall be deemed to be an open Court to which the public generally may have access, so far as the same can conveniently contain them:Provided that, if the Court is satisfied that it is necessary or expedient in the public interest or for the ends of justice so to do, the Court may at any stage of the trial of any particular case order that the public generally or any portion thereof or any particular person shall not have access to, or be or remain in place in which the Court is held.]
