Section 132 in Rajasthan Land Revenue (Land Records) Rules, 1957

132.

In case of transfer by gift; sale, bequest or mortgage, the Patwari should ascertain whether the deed has been registered or not. He should personally inspect it and in case it is not registered he will not open mutation. If the deed is registered he should take a notice of its nature, the names of parties, and the date of execution and registration. A brief note of these matters should be entered in column No. 17. The Patwari must not retain the deed in his possession or take copy of it. Attesting Officers should satisfy themselves that the particulars regarding the registered deed as given in the Patwari's mutation report are correct.
