4. Power to exempt municipal board from operation of any provisions of the Act unsuited thereto.
- (I) The State Government may, by notification, and for reasons to be recorded in writing, exempt any Municipal Board from the operation of any of the provisions of this Act considered unsuited thereto, and, thereupon, the said provisions shall not apply to such Municipal Board until such provisions are applied thereto by notification.(2)While a notification under sub-Section (1) remains in force, the State Government may make rules consistent with the provisions of this Act in respect of any matter within the purview of such provisions from operation of which the Municipal Board is exempted.
