(8)The State Security Commission shall exercise the powers and perform the functions as follows:-(a)lay down the broad policy guidelines for the functioning of the Police Force in the State including for ensuring that the Police Force always act according to the laws of the land and the Constitution of India;(b)formulating broad principles for the performance of the preventive tasks and service oriented functions of the Police Force; and(c)evaluation of the performance of the Police Force.
