Section 1038(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)Any act of gallantry which is worthy of recognition by the award of the King's Police, and Fire Services Medal, but is performed by one upon whom the decoration has already been conferred, may be recognised by the grant of a bar attached to the riband by which the medal is suspended. For every such additional act an additional bar may be added and for each bar awarded a small silver rose shall be added to the riband when worn alone. Recommendations for the grant of a bar shall be submitted in the same manner as recommendations for the grant of the medal.
