193. Powers of corporation in respect of works outside the city.
(1)The corporation shall not undertake new works beyond the limits of the city without the sanction of the State Government.(2)The corporation may, in the execution and for the purposes of any works beyond the limits of the city sanctioned by the State Government whether before or after the passing of this Act, exercise all the powers which they may exercise within the city throughout the line of country through which conducts, channels, pipes, lines of posts and wares and the like run [***] [Omitted the expression 'and over or necessary is sctvagc farms sewage disposal tanks, filters and other' by section 85 of Tamil Nadu Act 28 of 1978.] roots connected with the drainage of the city.
