623. How convict labour may be employed.

- Convict labour shall ordinarily be employed to supply -Firstly, - the requirements of the jail and of the jail department;Secondly, - the requirements of the Government in any other respect; andThirdly, - other demands which the Inspector-General may from time to time approve.
