Section 5 in The Karnataka Lifts, Escalators and Passenger Conveyors Act, 2012
5. Duration of licence.
- Unless any addition or alteration is made to the lift or escalator or passenger conveyor, every licence shall be valid for a period of ten years from the date on which it is granted. Before the expiry of the period of licence, the licence shall be got renewed. The licence may be renewed for a further period of every five years on an application along with such fee and subject to such conditions as may be prescribed.
