(1)Where in the University, if there are more than one hundred and ten affiliated and conducted colleges and recognized institutions, and the Vice-Chancellor of the University is of the opinion that it is expedient to create a post of a Pro-Vice-Chancellor, he may request the State Government to create such a post. On receipt of such a request, the State Government may, after making such inquiries as it deem fit, create such a post by notification in the Official Gazette.
