38. Special provision regarding fine.
- Notwithstanding anything contained in section 31 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (II of 1974), it shall be lawful for any Metropolitan Magistrate to pass a sentence of fine exceeding two thousand rupees on any person convicted of an offence, which under this Act is punishable with fine exceeding two thousand rupees.
