16. Filling of casual vacancies in certain cases. -
If any Trustee be permitted by the Board to absent himself from meetings of the Board for any period exceeding three months,or if any Trustee, other than the [Commissioner of the Corporation] [Words, figures and brackets substituted by W.B. Act 32 of 1955.], dies, or resigns the office of Trustee, or ceases to hold the office of Trustee in pursuance of a notification published under section 15,the vacancy shall be filled, within one month, by a fresh appointment or election under [sub-section (1) of section 4] [Words, figures and brackets substituted by W.B. Act 32 of 1955.] or section 8, as the case may be.
