Section 8 in U.P. Jail Executive Subordinate (Non-Gazetted) Service Rules, 1980
8. Academic qualification.
- A candidate for direct recruitment to the various posts in the Service must possess the following qualifications :| Post | Qualification | ||
| (i) | Deputy Jailor | (1) | Bachelor's degree from a recognised University. |
| (2) | Working knowledge of Hindi in Devnagri script. | ||
| (ii) | Assistant Jailor (including paid apprentice AssistantJailor). | (1) | Must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board ofHigh School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh or anexamination recognised by the Government as equivalent thereto; |
| (2) | Working knowledge of Hind; in Devnagri script. |
