It shall be the responsibility of the Block Development Officer to exercise overall supervision with regard to the proper execution of all works, taken up by the Grama Panchayat and to closely watch the progress. He shall ensure that the assistance of Engineering personnel is made available to the Grama Panchayat in time according to requirement for preparation of plans and estimates and measurement of works from time to time.
