13. Manner of inquiry to be held under sub-section (2) of Sec. 14.
(1)After receipt of an application under Rule 12, the Collector shall cause a notice to be served upon the holder or holders of the inami or special tenure land, and other persons interested (including persons who have an encumbrance lawfully subsisting on the land), to appear personally or by his or their guardian or by his or their authorised agent before him on the date and at the time and place mentioned in the notice (such date not being earlier than fifteen days after the date of receipt of the notice).(2)On the day fixed for hearing, or of any other day or days to which the inquiry may be adjourned, the Collector shall, after hearing the applicant and other persons interested who are present and any evidence adduced before him, determine the amount of compensation.
