Section 14 in The Calcutta Hackney-Carriage Act, 1919
14. Notice to be given of change of owners residence or place where carriage is kept. -
(1)Whenever the owner of a hackney-carriage registered under this Act changes his residence or the place where such carriage is kept, he shall, within one week from the date of such change, give to the Registering Officer a notice in writing thereof.(2)Every such owner who neglects to give such notice shall be liable, for every such offence, to a fine not exceeding five rupees, and, in default of payment of fine, to simple imprisonment for a period not exceeding seven days.
