67. [State Government] to be party to certain suits and proceedings.
(1)In any suit or proceeding in which an entry made in any record prepared under section 28 or section 35 is directly or indirectly called in question, the Court shall, before the final settlement of issues, give notice of the suit or proceeding to the Collector and, if moved to do so by the Collector, shall make the [State Government] [Substituted for the word 'Provincial' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] a party to the same.Bar of other suits against Government. - (2) Save as provided in sub-section (1) no suit shall lie against the [Government in respect of anything done by the Collector or by any person acting under the orders of the [State Government] [Substituted for the word 'Crown' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.], in the exercise of any power by this Act conferred on such Collector or the [State Government].
