Section 5(5) in The Rajasthan Electricity Duty Act, 1962
(5)[ Every person other than a supplier who generates energy for his own use or consumption shall pay to the State Government at the time and in the manner prescribed, the electricity duty payable under this Act on the units of energy used or consumed by him:Provided that if the amount of electricity duty is not paid within the prescribed period, interest at 12½% per annum on the amount of duty remaining so unpaid shall be chargeable from the person liable to pay electricity duty from the date of expiry of the said period until the payment thereof is made.
