390. Procedure when a prisoner with imprisonment in lieu of fine is transferred.
- When a prisoner whose sentence includes an order of imprisonment in default of payment of fine, is received by transfer from a jail other than the jail in which he was first confined, intimation shall forthwith be given by the receiving jail to the Superintendent of the jail where he was first confined, who shall cause a record or the receipt of such intimation to be made in the admission register of his jail. The Superintendent of the jail to which a prisoner was first committed, is responsible for seeing that notifications of payment of the fine received by him, are promptly transmitted to the jail in which the prisoner is confined, such notice shall be sent under a registered cover.
