- Save as specifically provided in this Code, the State Government, and subject to the approval of the State Government, any Commissioner or Collector may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct that all or any of the powers conferred or duties imposed on it or him by or under this Code, may, subject to such restrictions and conditions, if any, be exercisable also by such officers, not below such rank, as may be specified in the notification.]
