Section 257(1) in Criminal Courts - Rules and Orders
(1)Magistrates intending to act under Section 250 of the Code should pay careful attention to the provisions of that Section. If the Magistrate intends to act under that Section he shall, by his order of discharge or acquittal, call upon the complainant to show cause forthwith why he should not be ordered to pay compensation.
