The Bengal Chaukidari Act (Punjab Repeal) Act, 1955[No. 12 of 1955][May 30th, 1955]An Act to repeal the Bengal Chaukidari Act, 1856 (Act XX of 1856), in its application to the State ofPunjab.Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:­

1. Short title.-

This Act may be called the Bengal Chaukidari, Act (Punjab Repeal) Act, 1955.

2. Repeal of Act XX of 1856.-

The Bengal Chaukidari Act, 1856 XX of Act, 1856) is hereby repealed.
