Section 25 in The Maintenance And Welfare Of Parents And Senior Citizens Act, 2007
25. Cognizance of offences.
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974), every offence under this Act shall be cognizable and bailable.(2)An offence under this Act shall be tried summarily by a Magistrate.
