Section 20(1) in The Merchant Shipping (Fire Appliances) Rules, 1969
(1)Every ship of Class V1 shall be provided with sufficient number of portable fire extinguishers to ensure that at least one such extinguisher will be readily available for use in every crew and passenger space, if any.
