Section 540(1)(a) in Orissa Municipal Rules, 1953

(a)Every kitchen appurtenant to a masonary building shall be provided with a chimney or such other outlet for smoke as the Executive Officer may require and no such kitchen shall be constructed with a thatched roof made of inflammable material.
