(1)Any candidate or in his absence, his authorised agent may, at any time during the counting of votes, either, before or after the completion of the counting of votes, request the Returning Officer to re-examine and re-count the votes of all or any candidate and the Returning Officer may re-examine and re-count the same accordingly.(2)The Returning Officer may, in his discretion, re-count the votes either once or more than once in any case in which he is not satisfied as to the accuracy of any previous count:Provided that nothing in this sub-rule shall make it obligatory on the Returning Officer to recount the same votes more than once.
