Section 31 in The Meghalaya Employees' State Insurance Courts Rules, 1980
31. Method of recording evidence.
- The evidence of each witness shall be taken down in writing by the Judge or where there is more than one Judge, by the junior Judge in the language of the court, not ordinarily in the form of question and answer, but that of a narrative, and when completed, shall be read over or translated, where necessary, in the presence of such Judge to the witness, and such Judge shall, if necessary, correct the same and sign it.
