6. Diseases declared to be infectious and contagious.
- No person who is mentally disturbed or is suffering from any infectious or contagious disease including the following, shall travel in the metro railway, namely:-(a)cerebro-spinal meningitis;(b)chicken-pox;(c)cholera ;(d)diphtheria;(e)measles;(f)mumps;(g)scarlet fever;(h)typhus fever;(i)typhoid fever;(j)whooping cough;(k)tuberculosis.[***] [Omitted 'Provided that a closed (non-infective) leprosy patient carrying a certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner certifying him to be non-infective may travel in the metro railway.' by Notification No. G.S.R. 837(E), dated 6.9.2018 (w.e.f. 16.12.2014).]
