- Any officers and employees of the State Government, made available to the Election Commission pursuant to Clause (3) of Article 243-K of the Constitution for the discharge of the functions conferred on the Election Commission by Clause (1) of that article, when appointed by the Election Commission as the Election Officer, [Presiding Officer,] [Inserted vide Orissa Act No. 6 of 2007, O.G.E. Mo. 1338 dated 1.8.2007.] Polling Officer or any other Officer, or otherwise designated for the time being, for the conduct of any election under this Act, shall be deemed to be on deputation to the Election Commission for the period commencing on the date of notification calling for such election and ending with the date of declaration of the result of such election and, accordingly, such officers and employees shall, during that period, be subject to the control, superintendence and discipline of the Election Commission.]
