Section 147(2) in The Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959
(2)The rights and liabilities of the Panchayat which has been dissolved in respect or contracts, agreements and other matters or things arising in or relating to any part of the area subject to the authority of the reconstituted of established Panchayat shall vest in such Panchayat.
