Section 22(1) in The Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006
(1)The Returning Officer shall appoint a Polling Officer, preferably a officer serving under the Central or any State Government, for each polling booth and may also appoint such other persons as he may deem necessary to assist the polling officer:Provided that no member of the Institute shall be appointed as Polling Officer.
