Section 15(1) in The Karnataka Lifts, Escalators and Passenger Conveyors Act, 2012
(1)Every owner of lift or escalator or passenger conveyor shall enter into a contract with the registered person, for the satisfactory maintenance, including cleaning, oiling, adjusting and repairing of the lift or escalator or passenger conveyor.
