                   1.

Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. The petitioner seeks benefit of reservation under OBC category relying on the certificate of reservation dated 6th December, 2025.

3. Prayer has been made to direct the West Bengal Central School Service Commission to treat the petitioner as a reserved category candidate relying upon the said reservation certificate.

4. From the document annexed to the writ petition, it appears that the petitioner applied for getting 2 benefit of reservation on 24th November, 2025. The date of verification of credentials was on 4th December, 2025. The reservation certificate was issued to the petitioner on 6th December, 2025.

5. The Commission had earlier issued three notices providing opportunity to the reserved category candidates to edit their category status. The petitioner failed to act in terms of the said notices.

6. Submission of the learned advocate of the petitioner that the petitioner failed to edit the application form because of emergency situation in the family, cannot be taken to be a good ground to accept the petitioner's prayer for editing the category status at such late stage. The petitioner did not have a valid reservation certificate on the date of credential verification.

7. In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant case.

8. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.

9. All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

10. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
