Section 41(2) in The Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Adhiniyam, 1993
(2)In default of such intimation within the aforesaid period he shall be deemed to have opted for only one of the offices in the following order of preference,-(a)a member of Zila Panchayat;(b)a member of Janpad Panchayat;(c)a Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat;(d)a Panch of Gram Panchayat:Provided that if such a person has attended a meeting of a Panchayat before delivering the notice he shall be deemed to have opted for the office in the said Panchayat.
