3. Appointment of Settlement Officers.
(1)The State Government shall appoint as many Settlement Officers as may be necessary for the purposes of this Act.(2)Each Settlement Officer shall have such jurisdiction and over such areas as the State Government may, by notification, from time to time, determine.
