Section 58 in The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Model Rules, 2016
58. Procedure in case of offense under section 80 of the Act.
(1)Where any orphan, abandoned or surrendered child, is offered or given or received for the purpose of adoption without following the procedures as provided in the Act and the rules, the police shall, suomotu, or on receipt of information in that regard register an FIR forthwith.(2)A child who has been so offered, given or received for the purpose of adoption shall be produced before the Committee forthwith which shall pass appropriate directions for rehabilitation of the child, including placing such child in a Specialized Adoption Agency.(3)Wherever any offense under section 80 of the Act is committed by a recognised Specialized Adoption Agency or by a person associated with such an agency, the Committee may also pass appropriate orders for placing the other children placed with the Specialized Adoption Agency in any other Child Care Institution or Specialized Adoption Agency.
