Section 65(1) in Rules under the United Provinces Excise Act, 1910
(1)It is to be particularly observed that the appointment of the District Excise Officer in no way lessens the responsibility of the rest of the district staff for the supervision within their respective jurisdiction of the branches of excise administration particularly entrusted to them by the Collector.
