30. [ Registering Authority. [Substituted vide notification no. F MLO (HQ)/Tpt/95 dated 23-09-1996.]
(1)the Registering Authority shall be any officer appointed/empowered by the commissioner.(2)For the purpose of registration of non-transport vehicles on first sale under sub-sections (3), (5) and (6) of Section 41 of the Act from a dealer holding valid trade certificate, the Commissioner may empower as Registering Authority, subject to terms & conditions that may be specified from time to time, any person who has sufficient administrative experience, and is in the regular employment of the manufacturer of such vehicles or of the dealer as aforesaid.]
