[ Penalties for contravention of this Chapter: - If the management or manager contravenes, or attempts to contravene, any of the provisions of this Chapter or any rule or order made thereunder, it or he shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year and with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees and in the case of continuing contravention, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years and with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees, in addition to withdrawal of recognition of the institution] [Inserted by Act No. 27 of 1987, w.e.f. 1-6-1987.].
