Section 40(1) in The Dock Workers (Safety, Health And Welfare) Regulations, 1990
(1)General .-All lifting appliances including all parts and working gear thereof, whether fixed or movable, and any plant or gear used in anchoring or fixing such appliance, shall be--(a)of good construction, sound material, adequate strength for the purpose for which it is used and free from patent defects; and(b)maintained in good repair and working order.
