- The obligation to perform the repair prescribed by the last preceding section shall, with reference to any land irrigated from such work, be deemed to be imposed jointly and severally, in the case of unalienated land, on the occupants of the land, and, in the case of all other land, on the holders of the land, as defined in either case in [the Land Revenue Code] [These words were substituted for the words and figures 'the Bombay Land Revenue Code, 1879' by Gujarat 1 of 1962, section 10 (w.e.f. 10-12-1962).].
