Section 505 in The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Act, 1981
505. Control over municipal electrical undertakings.
- The administration by the council of the corporation for the generation, transmission, supply or use of electrical energy shall be subject to such control as may be prescribed, not inconsistent with the [Indian Electricity Act, 1910 (Central Act IX of 1910)] [These Acts were repealed and re-enacted as the Electricity Act, 2003 (Central Act 33 of 2003).] and the [Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948 (Central Act LIV of 1948)] [These Acts were repealed and re-enacted as the Electricity Act, 2003 (Central Act 33 of 2003).] as in force for the time being, the rules made thereunder, and the terms of the licence granted under the first mentioned Act to the council of the corporation.
