Section 16 in The South Asian University Act, 2008
16. Executive Council.
(1)The Executive Council shall be the executive body of the University and shall exercise powers to give effect to the directions or decisions of the President and the Governing Board.(2)The constitution of the Executive Council, the term of office of its members and its powers and functions shall be such as may be prescribed by the Statutes.
