(3)The Veterinarian in charge of check post or staff of the Department duly authorised for the purpose referred to in sub-rules (1) and (2) may detain animals at the check post for a period not exceeding twelve hours for the purpose of inspection, compulsory vaccination and identification, marking etc. For the animals vaccinated at the check post, owner of the animal shall be given a vaccination certificate as provided under Section 8.
