Section 20(ix) in First Statutes of the Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy, 2018
(ix)an employee of the Institute may resign by giving the appointing authority three months' notice, provided that the appointing authority may for sufficient reasons, either reduce this period or call upon the employee concerned to continue till the end of the academic session in which the notice is received.
