Section 18(a) in Prevention Of Collision On National Waterways Regulations, 2002
(a)A mechanically propelled vessel underway shall keep out of the way of:-(i)A vessel not under command;(ii)A vessel restricted in her ability to manoeuvre;(iii)A vessel engaged in fishing;(iv)A sailing vessel, vessel under oars or country boat; or(v)A vessel proceeding downstream by a vessel proceeding upstream; if the prevailing circumstances permit.
