Section 8(1) in The Orissa Self-Help Co-operatives Act, 2001
(1)A Co-operative may not be registered with exactly the same name as another Co-operative already registered under this Act or the Co-operative Societies Act ;Provided that where the articles of association of a Secondary Cooperative require all its member Co-operatives to use a common name, the name of each such member Co-operative shall have its location or other distinguishing feature included in the name at the beginning or end of the common name.
