Section 2(a) in The Chhattisgarh Nagar Palika (Registration of Coloniser, Terms and Conditions) Rules, 1998
(a)"Act" means in case of Municipal Corporation the Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation Act, 1956 (No. 23 of 1956) and in case of Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayats the Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act, 1961 (No. 37 of 1961);
