Section 22(b) in The U.P. Private Forests Rules, 1950
(b)A security, the amount of which will be determined by the Divisional Forest Officer, shall be deposited by the landlord with the Divisional Forest Officer and pledged to him for the fulfilment of the conditions of the licence. The security will be refundable when the conditions of the licence have been fulfilled. In the event of the non-fulfilment of any of these conditions the security will be liable to confiscation in whole or in part at the discretion of the Divisional Forest Officer. This is without prejudice to any other action which may be taken by the Divisional Forest Officer.
